Vakar vakare Londone buvo išdalinti kasmetiniai muzikinio žurnalo „NME” (New Musical Express – aut. past) apdovanojimai. Nuo 1953 metų vykstančioje ceremonijoje šiemet triumfavo šiandieninio britiško muzikinio identiteto vėliavnešiai – „Arctic Monkeys„, „Kasabian„, „Florence And The Machine” ir „The Horrors„.

„The Horrors” albumas „Skying” laimėjo geriausio Jungtinės Karalystės albumo kategorijoje, o puikų įrašą „Ceremonials” išleidusi „Florence And The Machine” triumfavo atsiimdama statulėlę už geriausią metų dainą (ja pripažintas kūrinys „Shake It Out”) ir už geriausią solo projektą.

„Arctic Monkeys” pripažinta geriausiai gyvai grojančia grupe, o geriausia Didžiosios Britanijos grupe paskelbti „Kasabian”.
