Needless to say I sympathise, or is it epaithmse, probably both. I am in a similar predicament myself having produced a trilogy which will sell itself if I can get people to read it. Like you I am not a car salesman type (which has just alienated all of the sales persons) and am having real trouble with the publicising aspect of ebook publishing. If its any consolation, you are not alone. It isn’t enough to be an engaging writer it seems but perhaps success isn’t necessarily measured by the number of sales, and if you love what you are doing does it matter if neither of us turns out to be the next Shades of Gray’ style success? That e-book series alone demonstrates that it doesn’t have to be good to sell, conversely, just because you don’t sell a million copies actually doesn’t mean that what you have written is not good, perhaps just not commercial?
